The Studio





Morten Emil Engel Studio is a small multidisciplinary design studio based in Copenhagen working with architecture and related fields of creative practice.

We focus on creating inspiring, original and idiosyncratic work of high integrity, rooted in research and experimentation at a multiplicity of scales ranging from urban planning to furniture design.

The studio is highly collaborative, engaging networks between artists, engineers and makers on a project to project basis to reflect the diverse nature of schemes that we work on.

We strives to always create sustainable solutions and we have an extensive portfolio of projects exploring and augmenting environmental, social and cultural forms of sustainability. The objective is to utilize the power of design to create positive change.

Through our process we see design as a system of interrelated issues ranging from context, typology, methodology, sustainability, structure, fabrication, materiality and tactility. Through these engagements we try to make the complex simple and the simple complex to provide rich and meaningful experiences.

The studio always welcomes collaborations, commissions, bespoke solutions and inquiries.
